Below is data on green vehicle sales in the European Union (EU) from the International Council on Clean Transportation (ICCT). By green vehicles, I am including hybrid, natural gas, and electric/fuel cell. The stats on diesel sales did not differentiate between clean diesel and traditional diesel.

In comparison, what are the rates for the US? (You know… because the whole world revolves around us).
I did some searching on the net and it was not easy to find. In 2010 approx 274k were sold here out of approx 5.6 million cars. That equates to about 4.8%.
Not too shabby, (as I had thought it to be much lower). Thanks!
