- California: 207 patents
- Michigan: 192 patents
- New York: 100 patents
- Illinois: 37 patents
- Connecticut and Massachusetts: 30 patents each
- Ohio: 25 patents
- Pennsylvania and Texas: 24 patents each
- Florida: 23 patents
Applications include fuel cells, biomass/biofuels, solar, wind, hybrid/electric, geothermal, tidal/wave, hydroelectric, and other clean/green/renewable energy technologies. Congratulations to those in each of these ten states that are on the cutting edge of green and clean technologies.
