Where’s the Justice (department)?

Recently, brutal, despicable, and totally unacceptable actions have been taken against Occupy protesters by the police in New York City, Denver, and Oakland.  Thanks to a foundation of fear and hate laid down by the Shrubbery Administration, neo-conservatives,  and Fox News fanatics, our nation has been transcending into a brutal police state.

  • How in the hell can anyone honestly claim we are a free country when peaceful protests are met with brutal state-sponsored violence?
  • Where were these totalitarian actions at the Tea Party rallies? Why are they being perpetrated only against Occupy protesters?
  • When are average Americans who comprise the 99% going to see this for what it is – an effort to stymie free speech and keep the 99% under the thumb of the elite plutocracy?

These atrociously harsh attacks make our country look like a Third World laughing-stock. It is past time for the FBI and the Justice Department start reigning in these rogue police departments.

Bobby Kennedy was brave and forthright enough to do just that and protect Civil Rights protesters during the 1960s  – now’s the time for Attorney General Eric Holder and the Justice Department to stand up and  start hauling some of these totalitarian assholes (and their bosses) into court and toss them in jail. To do anything less would be reprehensible and cowardly.
