Ya get what ya vote for

Earlier this week, House Republicans blocked a Democrat proposal to require equal pay for women for equal work. This represents yet another attack on women by the right.

So folks, we have an election coming up later this year. If you are a male or female supporter of women’s rights and for equal pay for equal work, then I hope you choose to vote for those candidates who also support these issues. Otherwise, ya get what ya voted for.

  1. grumble, grumble, grumble. i hate that women’s rights are constantly under attack… but i think i hate the “i dont care enough to vote” mentality even more. and i’m seeing that mentality cropping up again and again. people are feeling powerless in the face of problems and then give up even more power by choosing not to vote. sigh.

Sigh … Yet another Feminazi blogger citing stuff pulled outta her butt about pay equity.

Men are paid more because: they take more demanding and more dangerous jobs; they work longer hours; they (typically) don’t take time off for “family” reasons.

Can’t say I agree with Rex – he is not fully aware of the issue/ The Reps are,
also, out of touch with reality. It is difficult to believe that equal pay for equal work is even an issue in this time in history. They ought to be ashamed.
