“Argo f#€% yourself” and then definitely see “Argo”

This blunt, but humorous phrase comes from the phenomenal new movie Argo that I saw yesterday afternoon. It stars Ben Affleck, Bryan Cranston, John Goodman, and Alan Arkin and recounts the amazing actual events of the Iran Hostage Crisis of 30 years ago.

In particular I thought both Ben Affleck and John Goodman were exceptional, though the entire cast were absolutely spot on. The acting was terrific and there were plenty of suspenseful scenes that will keep you on the edge of your seat.

If you get a chance to see the movie, make sure you stay through the first half of the credits — it is worth the few minutes to learn more about the real individuals portrayed in the movie and to see how amazingly closely each character resembles the real person.

“Argo f#€% yourself” and see Argo. If you are part of my generation, you may think you know this story. But, in reality, the actual events surrounding the harrowing escape of six American embassy employees from Iran were far more dicey than previously known.
