Above and below are impressive bridge photographs of seven of the ten most popular bridges of Vietnam, plus one other beautiful one that I found on Trip Advisor.com. While all of them are intriguing in their own special way, it is hard not to find the Dragon Bridge in Danang (see above) to be the most compelling and unique one of all. So often, artistic form fails to meet engineered functions, but in the case of the Dragon Bridge, it’s graceful, arching form certainly supersedes its functionality – very, very cool.  According to Trip Advisor.com, on weekends, fire is ignited from the dragon’s nostrils, breathing life into the great bridge!

Danang seems to be a hub for superior bridge design with two other great bridges shown among the photos below. Enjoy!
