BLUE WATERS

(An ode to Lake Michigan)

by Rick Brown

____________

Sacred blue waters

Beckon to me

Wherever you are

Come to the sea

*

Crystal blue waters

Welcoming me

Marvelous vistas

For reflective retreat

*

Blessed blue waters

Smile upon me

Restoring my spirit

Bringing me peace

*

Cooling blue waters

Envelop around me

To stir my soul

Amidst every degree

*

Vibrant blue waters

Invigorate me

With playful delight

And radiant glee

*

Purest blue waters

Please rinse from me

All tension and stress

With soothing relief

*

Charming blue waters

Thank you, from me

For no place on Earth

I’d rather be.

This is a very nice poem! Have you thought of sharing it with the States with Lake Michigan shorelines? Also maybe the bigger cities? I live in Chicago.
