A little music trivia and fun. Included are rock, punk, folk, country, jazz, reggae, pop, metal, hip-hop, soul, R & B, rap, big band, and any other band names one could find or think of. The terms duo, once, trio, twins, twice, and the like were not included.

The most common numbers in band names are:

  1. Five (5)/Fifth = 27 examples
  2. One (1)/First = 20 examples
  3. Three (3)/Third = 18 examples
  4. Two (2)/Second = 17 examples
  5. Four (4)/Fourth = 15 examples
  6. Ten (10)/Tenth = 13 examples
  7. Six (6)/Sixth = 10 examples
  8. Nine (9)/Ninth = 8 examples

The longest continuous sequence of numbers used in band names are:

  1. 1 thru 13 = 13 numbers in a row
  2. 40 thru 45 = 6 numbers in a row
  3. 28 thru 32 and 97 thru 101 = 5 numbers in a row each
