Least populous capital cities of North America

Source: geology.com

The following list identifies the 41 least populous capital cities in North America. All are under 100,000 in population, as of the most recent Census. None of the cities on the list are in Mexico and one has zero population due to its destruction by a volcano. All populations shown in the United States are from 2020. Couple of interesting factoids:

  • Five capital cities have the term “town” and three have the term “ton” in their name = 8
  • Two have the term “city” and one has the term “polis” in their name = 3
  • Three have “saint” or santa” in their name

Peace!
