On our way back north to Michigan from Indianapolis this afternoon, Alison and I stopped at a place I have always wanted to stop at – Lisa’s Pie Shop on U.S. 31 near Atlanta, Indiana. What a wonderful, quaint, fun, and yummy place to stop! Lisa’s has won numerous “best pie” prizes at the Indian State Fair and nationally.
I will admit that I have long been a Grand Traverse Pie Company fan and remain so. But if you want to stop and shop at a delightful independent pie shop, that makes all kinds of tasty treats, please check out Lisa’s Pie Shop the next time you are passing through Central Indiana between Indy and Kokomo. It is worth the trip!
Here’s a cute video of the song, “Pie, pie, me oh my,” from the movie Michael.
This post is refreshing, and mixes both Hoosier and “Grand Traverse” (Michigan) pies! Cool!
