Images of the Michigan Bike Expo

Neither blowing snow, nor single digits temperatures, nor icy roads could keep the truly determined from attending today’s Michigan Bike Expo at the Michigan State University’s Ag Pavilion. For the first time, the Michigan Mountain Biking Association, the League of Michigan Bicyclists, and Michigan Trails and Greenways Alliance have teamed up for this joint event. Kathy and I volunteered at the League of Michigan Bicyclist’s booth for two hours this morning.

It was nice to see these three statewide groups gear up for such an event, as well as the avid participation from a number of cycling advocacy organizations and clubs in attendance including MSU Bikes, Michigan Trails Magazine, the Mountain Biking Safety Patrol, Michigan Bike Charters,  Motor City Bike and Brew Tours, Motor City Mountain Biking Club, West Michigan Mountain Biking Club, the Clinton River Mountain Biking Club, among others. There was also a swap meet, several retail vendors, and a dirt mountain bike course.
